As a “victim” of an unnecessary induction and subsequent c-section (due to an inaccurate due date) I was incensed when I found out about this!! We trust our care providers to be knowledgeable about their practice so to find out that most are using the wrong algorithm is truly frustrating!
Just goes to show that you have to know more than your care provider (OB or Midwife!) in order to avoid unnecessary interventions.

Thanks for sharing this. I’ve been trying to find more info out there on the “sham” we call EDD. I really hope it helps women make a better decision about early, unnecessary inductions, c-sections, etc.
